Josh and Ashley started Blaeser Farms in 2015 with six head of beef cattle. They expanded their beef operation by purchasing animals from a neighbor, Gary Krumenauer, who then helped them expand to using embryo transfer to get into the world of show cattle genetics. They attended the Denver National Western Stock Show with Gary in 2016 and have been competing there ever since. They strive to improve structure, increase efficiency, and create lifelong animal partners for show persons of all ages. Ashley grew up showing cattle her whole childhood, while Josh competed in his first show in 2022. Their son started showing locally when he was two years old, and competed at his first National Western Show in 2023 at the age of five. Josh has worked to develop his role in clipping and fitting the cattle, while Ashley and Jace provide the daily cares and show preparation.
In 2017 Blazin Show Cattle was started with the purchases of a few donor heifers, and the use of the rest of the herd as recipient females.
